IRAB-QSA currently has two occupational health and safety schemes:
As both OHSAS 18001 and AS/NZS 4801 standards have been withdrawn due to the 2018 publication of ISO 45001, IRAB-QSA will be discontinuing our Occupational Health and Safety Auditor scheme (OHSAS 18001 and AS/NZS 4801). New applicants for the scheme are no longer accepted.
Please Note: The ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Auditor scheme is inclusive of the OHSAS scheme. There is no need to have both.
Those who are currently certified to the Occupational Health and Safety Auditor (OHSAS 18001 and AS/NZS 4801) scheme will have the option to transition to the ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety scheme no later than March 12, 2021.
You may complete the transition in one of three ways:
If you have already met one of these requirements, please notify us at info@irab-qsa.com and provide us with a copy of your certificate of completion. We will then update your records accordingly by transitioning you into the ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety scheme and closing your Occupational Health and Safety Certification.
If you currently hold both the Occupational Health and Safety and the ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety certifications, please note that we will drop your Occupational Health and Safety certification on March 12, 2021, unless you instruct us to drop it earlier.
We suggest that you read and understand the ISO 45001:2018 standard prior to attempting to complete the transition assessment. You may purchase the standard from ISO here: https://www.iso.org/standard/63787.html.
